Shelby Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Shelby, North Carolina, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addictions. MAT combines prescription medication with counseling services to address the psychological and physical aspects of opioid addiction. Shelby CTC offers methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), buprenorphine (Subutex), Vivitrol, and Sublocade to help reduce the cravings and withdrawal symptoms that come from stopping opioid use. In addition to receiving medication, patients at Shelby CTC participate in group and individual therapy, where they can find support and learn coping skills to help prevent future relapse.
